Christian Dior

Christian Dior was born in Northern France in 1905. When he was a child his family moved Paris. Dior was very passionate about art, but he enrolled at the Ecole Des Science Politique where he began to studie in political science.
Soon after Christian Dior graduated, he opened a small art galley with money he recevied from his father. In 1931, Dior was forced to close his gallery.
After his gallery closed, Dior began to sell his fashion sketches, in 1935 Dior receive a job illustrating for the magazine Figaro Illustré. Later on Dior was hired as the design assistant of Paris Couturier Robert Piguet. A year after, Dior served in the south of France as an officer in the French army.
On December 16, 1946, he founded the house of Christian Dior. The house of Dior considers 1947 to be the year of conception because that is when Dior showed his first collection.
