Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren is an American clothing designer, he is known for his sportswear line. His centerpiece of his fashion empire is Polo Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren was born in New York City on October 14, 1939.
Lauren began designing men's neckties in 1967, he branded the neckties under the name "Polo" and sold them in large department stores like Bloomingdale's. Soon after, Lauren expanded his designs to a full menswear line.
Lauren was given the Coty Award for his menswear designs in 1970. Lauren then released a line of women's suits. He realeased a collection of short-sleeve cooton shirts in 24 colors in 1972. Then brand's signature look became this design, his designs were emblazoned with the Polo logo.
Polo expanded in the 1980s and thr 1990s, he opened boutiques all over the world. Lauren opened the flagship store in New York's Rhinelander Mansion in 1984.
